Bay Area Centers for Energy Innovation
The Bay Area Centers for Energy Innovation's mission is to accelerate the innovation and commercialization of promising technologies to bring renewable energy and economic prosperity to Central California. The Bay Area Centers for Energy Innovation (BACEI) consists of the North Bay Center for Energy Innovation, Santa Clara Center for Energy Innovation and Santa Cruz Center for Energy Innovation. The Centers will be managed by the project team under the leadership of Lloyd L. Tran, Director of Cleantech Institute , a leading research and consulting organization in renewable energy. The Centers focus on providing supporting services to energy entrepreneurs with the following objectives: • Providing key services, infrastructure, expertise, and resources to energy entrepreneurs in the Bay Area to successfully deploy and commercialize their innovations. • Catalyzing effective regional planning, collaboration, and coordination around energy innovation that will benefit IOU electric ratepayers. • Connecting emerging energy technologies to specific needs, opportunities, and assets in the Bay Area in California • Accelerating the commercialization of technically promising innovations
